The mid-market relationship score for learning management systems (LMS) is determined by ease of doing business, quality of support, and how likely customers are to recommend. Our favorite feature of Brightspace is its high level of flexibility and customization. We can create virtually any type of content with relative ease and give every piece its own unique look and feel while still maintaining brand standards. The level of support we get from D2L is also amazing; everyone at the organization is passionate about learning and goes out of their way to provide the best possible customer experience.
The intuitive interface, navigation, design freedom that Brightspace offers appeals significantly to my instructional design mindset. It is scalable for all that we do and has been an ultimate solution for all of our learning and development courses. D2L also integrates several third-party vendors and allows us to easily implement and use their products within the Brightspace platform. With each update, Brightspace is enhancing the LMS through customer feedback and PIE ideas in the Brightspace community. D2L works hard to continually improve its learning platform for the ever-changing world that education is today.
D2L offers a clean, customizable experience for the Corporate/enterprise environments. While they do have dozens of widgets, drop-downs and apps for a wide range of learning needs and functions, the ability to hide a large portion of them sets D2L’s Brightspace platform apart from other LMSs in this Corporate space. This, combined with the ability to integrate easily with other information systems through APIs and other tools, makes Brightspace a leader in the space for both customization and functionality. My learners can get into a course and begin learning either on their own or in a blended (online/offline) classroom. It takes very little explanation to get my class up and learning as a facilitator or very few (primarily intuitive) clicks if they are ready to learn independently.
