Hi, I’m Tigger, a Yellow Lab who comes to work most days with my D2L’er Katie. I’m almost 1, and have been coming to the office since September 2016. I guess that makes me a D2L’er for close to 10 human years! Oh, and I’m part of the National Service Dogs of Canada.
I split my time between my humans Katie and Sam. Sam’s work also lets me hang out there. On days when I don’t get to visit D2L, my foster sister Emmie goes to work with Katie. She always sleeps in my bed when I’m not around. It’s just like that story with the 3 bears; so annoying.
Anyways, I love going to work with Katie. I get to see a few of my pooch friends like Baron, or the Doodles, and catch up. And there’s this lady in HR where Katie works who always give me treats. The humans have to wait for their snacks to get refilled, but this lady always has what I like at her desk.
One of my favorite parts of the day is when the humans come to visit the HR department (does that make me part of Human Resources, or am I more of a Canine Resource?). Most of the time they’re coming to drop off some forms, or get advice on hiring, but more often than not they stop to give me belly rubs. I’ve even seen some of them forget why they came up once they see me. Silly humans.
I love that there is always something to eat around here for everyone. The humans like their fruit, and meat trays, and they go nuts for Cake Day. Me, I like those things too. Especially once they’ve fallen on the floor to get some added spice. Also, the IT cables around here are an unheralded delicacy.
