Innovating and collaborating to deliver digital exams and a student portal
The University of Groningen is a research university in the Netherlands offering Bachelor’s, master’s and PhD degrees across 11 faculties to around 34,000 students. The LIA is the UK’s trade association for the lighting industry. Membership is at an organisational level and consists of around 200 lighting manufacturers representing 10,000+ employees. One of the primary benefits of the LIA is to provide sector-specific training and development opportunities to build and maintain an effective talent pipeline for the industry. In 2023, the LIA transitioned its online learning to D2L Brightspace, delivering a digital experience that supports its vision and meets evolving learner needs, in a short amount of time.

The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI) is a postgraduate medical training college that provides structured training, examinations, educational programmes and continuing professional development to more than 13,000 doctors across 90 countries. Digital learning, which accelerated during the years of the COVID-19 pandemic, is now a significant element of RCPI’s training, enabling it to deliver flexible, engaging online learning. Over a five-year period, RCPI evolved how it uses Brightspace, adding features and enhancing courses through edited and captioned videos for rich learning experiences.
