Press Release
D2L, a global learning technology company, and K16 Solutions are together helping to make it easier for institutions to archive outdated course materials, helping them to better focus their efforts on maintaining the accessibility of active courses more efficiently.
Beginning in 2026, many U.S. K-12 public schools and public higher education institutions will be required to comply with the new accessibility rule under ADA Title II, which can help make learning experiences across web and mobile apps more accessible for individuals with disabilities. Integrated within D2L Brightspace, K16 Solutions can make archiving older course materials that don’t meet current learning requirements faster, providing customers with more time to focus on maintaining the accessibility of new and active courses.
At D2L, we believe accessibility standards are a critical part of seeing that learners have access to high-quality learning experiences. We also know that institutions looking to meet the new requirements want to prioritize current, active courses, rather than spend hundreds of hours updating redundant course material. Together, K16 Solutions and D2L Brightspace can provide customers with the option to archive older, inactive or outdated courses more easily. This can support them to focus valuable resources on current courses and providing highly accessible learning experience to their students as quickly as possible.
