D2L, a global learning technology company, is helping to empower educators with free online courses designed to address critical skills gaps in key areas, including cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI). These courses aim to equip all educators and learning leaders with knowledge and practical tools for the upcoming school year.
Cybersecurity for K-12
Cybersecurity for K-12 School System (Technology) Leaders is a free course designed to help K-12 educators and institutions address critical cybersecurity challenges. Recognizing that cybersecurity can be overwhelming, this course can help simplify essential concepts and practices, providing a selection of third-party resources and offers an overview to help school leaders better understand, mitigate, and respond to cybersecurity threats.

AI Empowerment for Educators
AI Empowerment for Educators: Transforming Teaching & Learning is a free D2L master class for educators that explores the impact of AI in education. Participants can learn practical ways to integrate AI into their teaching practices, explore ethical considerations and engage in peer discussions to reflect on their experience teaching with AI.
In addition, D2L has introduced D2L Lumi, a new AI-powered package designed to help create engaging, effective, and efficient learning experiences. Built with a focus on privacy and data governance, D2L Lumi enables educators to develop high-quality, human-centered learning experiences with ease, allowing them to save time and focus on building stronger connections with students.
